When was the last time you sat through all of the credits at the end of a film? It's surprising how many people it takes to make a modern movie. At Biography Films we may not bring in a set designer to replace your furniture, and we may not have someone whose only job is to make sure your hair stays in place, but each of our films still requires a team of professionals: producers, filmmakers, and editors.
It all starts with our producers. A producer at Biography Films educates people about creating personal biographies and guides them through the different packages and payment options. Your producer also schedules and oversees the production and completion of the film. You'll meet your filmmaker during the first shooting day. Our filmmakers are experts at more than just cameras, lighting, and sound equipment. They love to talk to people and listen to their stories. It's the filmmaker's responsibility to make sure everyone looks and sounds their best. Although you may never meet your editor, the person who edits your film is often the one who puts in the most hours towards something that you will keep as one of your most prized possessions. Editors at Biography Films take all of the raw footage and turn it into narratives. They also insert photo effects, historical footage, and music in a way that adds emotional impact. While everyone with Biography Films works hard at the technical details, we never forget the heart of what we are doing. As we plan, shoot, and edit each biography we try to remember that it might become the main event at a family reunion, a 50th wedding anniversary, an 80th birthday, or even a memorial service. And we know that these films will be handed down so future generations can better get to know those who made their lives possible. |
